Why does it cost more for a single rate?

posted on: January 18, 2011
in: How To Guides

I think it’s a good time to mention again that casinos subsidizes our programs. Without their support package would be substantially more. Actual costs on most of our get-a-ways are far more than the package price. The single supplement really does not really cover the actual costs to the casino.

Why can’t I pay a single rate and go on an Atlantic City Charter?

Some casinos have limited room availability for charters. So we are unable to fulfill all requests for single rooms.

What is the difference between an Earned and a Free complimentary?

posted on: January 18, 2011
in: How To Guides

An Earned complimentary is earned while you play and is deducted from your complimentary account. A Free complimentary is not.

Free comps are very rare.

Many of our charters (the cost for the flight, room and ground transportation) are Free complimentaries. It’s really the best deal in the casino business!

Do you have any suggestions on how I can improve my ratings?

Do you have any suggestions on how I can improve my ratings?

posted on: January 18, 2011
in: How To Guides

Here are some helpful hints and suggestions:

Table Players – Always use your player card while you play even if you are going to play for a short time. All play goes into your record and is considered when the casino applies complimentaries. Play as low as a 15-minute session will count.

The next important things you can do is by either a) establishing and using a credit line or b) depositing money in cage and drawing markers at the table. The casino will track you two separate ways, one by play and one by markers. These have proven to be the best way to have accurate ratings and we strongly recommend it! Do not begin play before the Pit Boss has taken your player card and started a rating card. Please keep in mind the Pit Boss will record your first bet and it will be figured into your average. I suggest your first wagers be at least at your regular average bet level. Some people begin higher and settle into a comfortable amount as they play. This may help too.

If you have had a problem in the past, mention it to the Pit Boss and ask them to keep an eye on you. Ask the Pit Boss about your ratings while you play. Ask about hours played, average bet and win/loss. At a minimum, we strongly urge you ask about your ratings before you leave the table. We have seen when there is a discrepancy; a dealer will often side with players and the Pit Boss will change the player record. It’s nearly impossible to correct a play record after you leave the table.

Cash out before you leave table (change small chips for larger ones). The Pit Boss will note this on your record. This gives them another reason to look at your rating card and has proven more accuracy of the win/loss.

Slot Machine Players – Never play without a card, even if you only plan to play a few minutes at a time.

Obtain a second or third card if you play more than one machine at a time.

Leave your card in the reader while playing and always make sure the card reader says accepted before beginning.

No matter what size your wager, large or small always use your card! All recorded play is used when the casino considers complimentaries. Even play on penny machines.

You can be assured you are getting all your complimentary points you earn. Along with the casino, we review your play history and apply the most upfront complimentaries as possible.

Also know your complimentary points (Harrah’s calls them Reward Credit) are protected by gaming law and they are only available to you and the casino. We do not access to your points.

Why do I need a credit card to check into the hotel?

posted on: January 18, 2011

Credit cards are a standard in the hotel business. It’s mainly to protect them from theft and damages. Some of our casinos have exceptions and some do not.

How do I qualify for a complimentary trip?

posted on: January 18, 2011
in: How To Guides

The casino sets complimentary trip levels. If your play level (average daily play) meets the casinos requirements, then your trip is FREE!

Because we offer so many properties and cruises, all with different requirements, it is too difficult to post all the requirements here.

Call our office and we will be happy to assist you!

Can you explain your services and how they work?

posted on: January 18, 2011
in: How To Guides

We are independent casino representatives and we offer Charter, Group, Cruise and Individual Trip Services. Each casino determines their complimentary levels. And they can be different between Charter, Group and Individual get-a-ways.

Generally speaking, comp levels (free and discounted trips) are determined by actual costs to the casino. Usually the higher the costs for airfare, rooms and transportation, the higher the play level that is required by the customer. Also, some casinos are also willing to subsidize more than others. Example: A customer may qualify for a complimentary for two offer to one casino and may only qualify for discount to another. Sometimes events and holiday’s have higher requirements too!

Charter deals are always the best. On charters, many (but not all) casinos don’t deduct the cost of the trips from a player’s complimentary account (Harrah’s calls them Reward Credits). This is considered a FREE Complimentary. This is not true to some casino, group trips and individual get-a-ways.

Because of our casino relationships, our customers can visit new properties and enjoy casino comps and discounts even BEFORE they establish play history. I need to note here that the casino reserves the right to final approval.

What does “being rated” mean?

posted on: January 18, 2011
in: How To Guides

Casino guests use a casino player card while they played and their play is recorded. Recorded play is used for casino complimentaries like food, beverages, free trips, show tickets, free rooms, ect.. We use your recorded play history to extend FREE or discounted get-a-ways to the over 55 properties and 3 cruise lines we represent; even if you have not travel there before.

I am not sure how all this works. Can you explain?

posted on: January 18, 2011
in: How To Guides

We are independent casino representatives and we represent over 55 properties and 3 cruise lines.

  1. Our services provide customers with FREE and inexpensive get-a-ways. We are able to do this because our customers use a casino player card while they play in the casino.
  2. Using a player card is known as being “Rated” (see being rated). Rated customers enjoy casino complimentaries like food, FREE airfare, beverages, shows, tournament invitations, etc..
  3. Casino complimentaries are based on recorded play history. Table play level is determined by length of play and average wager. And machine play is determined by the denomination and the amount of coins cycled through the machine.
  4. We believe a large part of our success has been based on helping customers get the most their play affords. We encourage players to use their card because of the many wonderful benefits they receive.
  5. Recorded play is also used to compensate us.

Why book with Pair-A-Dice Travel?

posted on: January 18, 2011
in: How To Guides

Customers choose us because of the personal service we provide. We also offer many services that are not available if they book elsewhere, even directly with the casino!

Here are some of them:

1. People book with us because many of our charter trip and group trip costs are FREE. This is very important as these trips costs are not deducted from your casino complimentary account. So these really are truly free to you. I need to mention this is true of most of our planned charter and group trips but not all.

2. We are able to offer, because we are independent casino representatives, one of the largest selections of casino and cruise destinations in the country. We currently represent more than 55 properties and 3 cruise lines.

3. We prepare special group trips that are exclusive to our customers. A couple popular examples are group cruises on Norwegian Cruise Line and Harrah’s New Orleans.

4. Because of our casino relationships, we are often able to get customers into sold out events and shows.

5. We can book special offers sent to you by the casino right here in our office. Reservation for free trips, shows, events, tournaments and even free rooms can be made with one simple call to our office.

6. We can send you to new casino destinations and you can enjoy the complimentaries you receive elsewhere (without establishing play history first).

7. It’s one call to do it all. We can book airline, room, ground transportation, shows, spa appointments, golf, etc. right here.
