Wow, Last year was the Year of Janet……This year is the Year of Kelly. Kelly’s first day with Pair-A-Dice was September 10, 2001. Yes the day before 9/11! All she did for weeks was refund customers for cancelled trips. I wasn’t sure I would be able to keep her employed. It was a stressful time for us all. And to think this year on September 10th Kelly will have her 10 year anniversary with Pair-A-Dice. I’m so lucky that she decided to change her plans in Medical Training and stay with me. I’m sure most of you feel the same. Who would have thought that Jed wouldn’t stay little (age 5 on 4th of July) or……..

That it could get this hot this quick! Just put me near a pool with a cocktail in hand and Poker Machine Nearby. Sound familiar? Well, I guess I will settle for visiting Ed’s family in Ohio. It will be great to see everyone. Hope it’s cooler there.  This has been such a busy year for me finding new destinations for Pair-A-Dice. If there wasn’t a casino chances are I didn’t visit .  We are all busy this 4th of July Holiday. Kelly and Vicki are BOTH escorting the Crystal Palace trip. Aren’t you lucky. Lucky Elizabeth and Deb will be holding down the fort! Deb is still recovering from the awesome 7 Star Weekend in Atlantic City…..That’s still all the rage. Everyone is already asking for Next Year’s dates. Kudos to Caesar’s, Harrah’s and Showboat for an awesome weekend.

20 Year’s and Going Strong!

Wow……..Can’t believe that on June 12th will be both 20 years since Ed and I met and 18 Year’s of Marriage. Many times I have customers that have been going with Pair-A-Dice since our first trip August of 1993 say they knew us before we were married. I try to explain that Pair-A-Dice was conceived on our Honeymoon but most say, “No, you weren’t married when you started.” Actually, I met Ed on June 12, 1991 on a blind date. Less than 3 weeks later I lost my job. I was escorting some trips for a friend in the casino business and he had decided to open a new business and asked me to come to work for him. I  decided to make a career change and never looked back. That’s how it all began. Ed and I decided on our honeymoon that we would like to both leave our jobs and start our own business. Pair-A-Dice Travel was born. We moved to Charlotte and had 10 customers. Still going strong after all these years and it’s Mostly because of great loyal customers like you! Lots and Lots of changes over the years but some things have always stayed the same. Great Customers and Lots of Fun Times.

I promise to get much better about blogging…..Now that I’ve learned how. Most of you know that I love to talk. I’m hoping my blogs will just be about thoughts I may have on any subject from gaming to My kids. They may not always be grammatically correct but just a brief thought for the day or week. Just sharing my thoughts with you.
